At the Sunday Soup Kitchen.  Pretty good stuff, well worth the trip.

Sunday Soup Kitchen (#1)

Well, If I don't do anything else, I can report on the menu at Grace Methodist Church on Sunday evening (4:00-6:00);  It's usually pretty good, we have had real Hamburgers, Pulled Pork (BBQ) and other goodness.

Yesterday was OK; Two Hotdogs, (Grilled?), Potato Salad (very tasty) and Baked Beans.

I was not the only who noticed the lack of Condiments;  No Pickle Relish!  We were only offered Ketchup and Mustard.  And had to hunt around for that.

Worth The Trip to town;  On the Soup Kitchen scale, say two and a half stars?

I think this was the men from Oakley Chapel, the dinner is organized on a rotating basis by four different local Methodist Church's.

Drive Through Food Pantry

Happened to drive by St Vincent's food pantry this afternoon, I swear they are running a drive through operation.  At least twenty cars lined up waiting their turn.

Put on my list of things to do, be there on a Monday afternoon and find out what they are giving out.

I recently realized between Church Leftovers and the Day Old Baked goods I am collecting (receiving?) twice a week, I am buying very few groceries.  I stopped at Aldi this afternoon and bought some Goat Cheese for a friend (reimbursed) and a box of crackers.
